Meet the Governors
Welcome to the Governors' section!
Our Governing body is led by our Chair of Governors, Mrs Michelle Crocker who works closely with Mrs Weir to ensure we are doing the very best for the children and families of Tickenham C of E Primary School.
The governing body (GB) is made up of 12 individuals drawn from parents, school staff, the community, the church and the Local Authority. The GB is ably supported by Mrs Jo Gay, the clerk. The members of the GB volunteer their time to work in partnership with the headteacher and her senior leadership team to oversee the strategic development of the school, ensuring the best educational experience is provided for our children and offers excellent value for money. The GB has to monitor the performance of the school as a whole and work as 'critical friends' to challenge the leadership to ensure continuous improvement. The GB is a key criterion in the OFSTED inspection framework.
