We are a small, friendly, family village school with a strong Christian ethos. Our inclusive character values the excellent relationships between the school, parents and the community in which each child is treated as an individual and is valued. We provide high quality education with children at the centre of all we do.

Tickenham Church of England Primary School provides a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children are educated in a distinctive ethos that will remain with them all their lives.
We strive to encourage self-confidence, enthusiasm for learning and a desire in each child to reach his or her full potential, by appreciating and encouraging individuality. We aim to give equal praise and equal opportunity for every sort of achievement, whether academic, sporting, musical, artistic, dramatic or any other, so that all the children can achieve success and self-respect and learn to aim for excellence.
Above all it is important that children enjoy life at Tickenham, develop a sense of responsibility and show consideration towards others.
We are a Church of England ‘voluntary aided’ school which means we link closely with our parish church at Tickenham and the Diocese of Bath and Wells. We have a strong Christian ethos with foundation governors (Church-appointed) who work closely with us and support the school in many ways. In this way, we endeavour to offer opportunities for all our children to develop their spiritual lives.
We have every confidence that your child will be able to enjoy the opportunities at Tickenham to discover themselves and achieve their potential in both the academic and the non-academic.
